We knew it was coming long before E3 but Square Enix have revealed gameplay footage and more story details from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set two years after Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s Aug Incident, an event that mechanically augmented citizens all over the world to be stripped of control of their mind and bodies, resulting in the deaths of millions of innocents. With the golden era of augmentations now over, any augmented humans have been deemed outcasts and segregated from the rest of society. The player again takes control of Adam Jensen, no longer working for Sarif Industries but instead an anti-terrorism group called Task Force 29. However, he is actually a double agent working with some hackers who are trying to take Task Force 29 down – assuming their working for the Illuminati. Poor guy – he has a lot going on! Check out the trailer below:

The game is looking ridiculously good – the augs in the last game were awesome and there’ll be more new ones to try this time around.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is hitting Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC some time in 2016.
