Developers Camel 101 have lifted the lid on their upcoming ‘old school’ horror title, Syndrome, with a brand spanking new reveal trailer that you can check out below:
It’s looking incredibly eerie and the premise is equally so:
“You wake up on a spaceship, dazed and confused from the effects of cryosleep, and begin to search for the rest of the crew. Where could they have gone? All too suddenly, you discover that most of them are dead, and those still alive are… changed.”
Creepy, right? The game requires you to explore your environments thoroughly whilst carefully managing resources; I’m guessing that’s the ‘old school’ side the game was talking about, seeing as otherwise it just looks similar to a lot of other horror titles that are out these days. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing though – the game is looking great. It also offers VR support; after my experiences with VR I just know that’s going to be a terrifying experience. I can’t wait.
Syndrome is due out Q2 2016 and will be available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. In the mean time, you can find out more about the game on it’s official website or help Greenlight the game on its Steam page.
