Bandai Namco have revealed, perhaps predictably, that Tekken 7 will be arriving on home consoles – best of all it’ll feature VR support with Playstation VR. You can check out the reveal trailer below:

There’s no confirmed date for the return of the ‘King of the Iron Fist’ tournament to consoles, but it’s good to get confirmation. It’s also confirmed to be running on the Unreal Engine 4, so expect some pretty sweet visuals in the final release. It’ll also be great to try out a fighter in VR – a surprising, but welcome, addition.

The Tekken franchise has always seen a focus on the backstory and lore, and that trend looks to continue with Tekken 7 – the dark secrets of the Mishima family are finally going to be revealed. The Mishima’s are a pretty twisted family that have previously been involved with throwing each other into volcanoes… yeah, twisted stuff. We should finally see Heihachi’s wife make an appareance though – could be interesting, especially with Kazuya and Jin on the scene.

Expect to see more on Tekken 7 over the coming months.
