LA based developers Game Over have took to Kickstarter to try and raise $80,000 for their upcoming first person parkour title, Failsafe. You can check the game out in action below:

Failsafe is a first person parkour adventure game reminiscent of the fluidity of Journey, the monolithic scale of Shadow of the Colossus, and the stylization of Hayao Miyazaki.
This game has transformed considerably since its initial conception in December 2014, with its parkour mechanics taking center stage in terms of gameplay. Our goal is to provide huge, sprawling environments for the player to explore using dynamic parkour to navigate the remains of a mysterious civilization. The game plays like the better parts of Mirror’s Edge, with some pivotal refinements on the movement systems. Narratively, the player will be immersed in a world built by the relationship between Isra (Ashly Burch) and the Robot (Dante Basco).”

It looks really sweet. The developers mentioned similarities to Journey but I can also see a ton of Gravity Rush in the aesthetics too – something that’s definitely a positive in my eyes.

If Failsafe is successful in receiving funding we should see it launched on PC, Mac and Linux sometime during Summer 2016 with console version coming after that.
