Bandai Namco have announced that Dark Souls III will have a season pass, offering gamers post-launch content to expand their gaming experience.
The previous Dark Souls games have supported DLC, with Dark Souls having the ‘Atorias Of The Abyss’ content and Dark Souls II had ‘The Lost Crowns’ content – both offering a great deal of extras for gamers to play through. It’s no surprise then to learn that Dark Souls III will support post-launch content with a season pass, though there hasn’t been any details on what it will consist of yet. We should get more information soon.
We also learned that Xbox One gamers who pre-order Dark Souls III digitally via the Xbox One Store will receive the original Dark Souls game to play either on their Xbox 360 or on the Xbox One when the title is backwards compatible at a later date. It’s a neat incentive for both series veterans and newcomers alike who haven’t experienced the gaming bliss that is Dark Souls.
Dark Souls III hits Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 12th 2016.
