– Sea of Thieves’ Closed Beta begins later this month

Those ready to get a taste of Rare’s upcoming ‘pirate sim’ don’t have too long to wait – well, as long as you’re a part of the Insiders programme that is. The Closed Beta for Sea of Thieves is running from January 24th to January 28th.

“The Sea of Thieves Closed Beta will run from 12pm GMT on 24th January to 8pm GMT on 28th January, giving pirates a full five days of sailing, shanties and shenanigans. Rare has crafted a bespoke experience for Closed Beta players that offers a true taste of what Sea of Thieves has to offer. They won’t be testing the full game during this Closed Beta phase to keep a good selection of things up their sleeves for players to discover at launch.

The Closed Beta will be accessible to anyone who joined the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme before 1st December 2017, as well as anyone who pre-orders the game. To find out how to download the Closed Beta client, visit our website. Sea of Thieves is coming to the Xbox One and PC on March 20th 2018.
