Do you hate bugs? How about bugs that want nothing but to kill you? Well The Bug Butcher may be the game for you – it’s leaving Early Access and officially launching on January 19th! You can see the game in action in a newly released trailer below:
“Inspired by Super Pang (that’s Super Buster Bros. for you North American folks), The Bug Butcher is a relentless shoot-’em-up with a simple rule; you can only fire straight up. Good thing your helmet comes with a visor.
It’s you versus merciless waves of bugs, blasting them into smaller and smaller chunks, splattering the ceiling with a hot mess of juicy entrails and avoiding whatever the heck just splurted out of that thing’s, erm… orifice.
Take on 30 levels of unyielding bug assaults, or feel the soft and fuzzy power of friendship in endless co-op. Customize your duds and upgrade your arsenal to cut through bugs like soft, oh-so-deliciously warm butter.”
I’ve had the chance to put a few hours into the early access build of The Bug Butcher and it’s fantastic. I was a big fan of Pang on the Amiga when I was a kid and it certainly brought back fond memories. I’d even say The Bug Butcher is better than Pang – seriously, it’s that good.
You can grab The Bug Butcher on Steam Early Access right now through this link – it officially launches on PC on January 19th.
