Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have announced that Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, the new story-based DLC for their critically acclaimed fighter, is available today on PC, consoles, and Google Stadia.
Developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath provides an all-new, cinematic story campaign that expands the Mortal Kombat 11 storyline with a time-bending narrative centred around trust and deceit. Through the immersive Story mode, players take on the role of various fighters to continue the epic saga as Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, must now enlist the help of unlikely allies and familiar foes to forge a new history as the fate of two worlds hang in the balance.
Besides adding a new story experience to the game, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath also brings three new characters to the fray. Fujin and Sheeva return to the famed series once more, whilst a new guest character arrives in the form of Robocop – everybody’s favourite Machine Policeman. C’mon, we’re all excited to see Robocop face off against Terminator, right?
Mortal Kombat: Aftermath can be purchased for £34.99 or as part of the Mortal Kombat: Aftermath + Kombat Bundle for £39.99, which is a MUCH better deal if you haven’t already bought the Kombat Pack (which brings with it six additional characters).
There is a free update available for Mortal Kombat 11 for all players from today too, which includes four new stages, stage fatalities, and the return of ‘Friendships’, which are one of the best ways to end a battle. NOT EVERY FIGHT HAS TO END WITH A DISMEMBERMENT, A BURNING CORPSE, OR A DESTROY SCROTUM, OK?!
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia. You can check out our review of the game through this link.
