2K have OFFICIALLY revealed the first gameplay footage for the upcoming Mafia: Definitive Edition, with a fourteen-minute trailer showcasing some of the game’s features and improvements. It might have gotten leaked online a little earlier in the day, but we prefer to wait until game news and videos come straight for the source – we’re nice like that.
Check out the new footage down below:
Building on last month’s launch of the “New Beginnings” cinematic story trailer, Hangar 13 and 2K today published the first extended look at Mafia: Definitive Edition’s newly overhauled gameplay. Narrated by Hangar 13 President and Chief Creative Officer Haden Blackman, the Official Gameplay Reveal asset provides a detailed overview of the core gameplay, as well as a deep dive into the one of the game’s most iconic missions, “A Trip to the Country.”
Mafia: Definitive Edition – a comprehensive, built-from-the-ground-up remake of the original Mafia – launches September 25. The remake features an updated script filled with rich new dialogue, expanded backstories, and additional cutscenes. Players will also find all-new gameplay sequences and features, best-in-class cinematics, and other enhancements. It’s the Mafia players remember, only much more.
The footage looks pretty impressive and has definitely got me excited to play the game. The Mafia series hasn’t exactly hit the high standards that players might have been hoping for with its previous two releases, so here’s hoping that Mafia: Definitive Edition turns out to be a real return to form.
Mafia: Definitive Edition is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 25th 2020. Find out more on the official website through this link.
