Activison have released the reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s ‘Zombies Mode’, with the four-player co-op experience looking more eerie and action-packed than ever before. Check it out below:

Want more details about what to expect from the narrative of Zombies (or ‘Die Maschine’ as it’s been dubbed by the developers)? There’s a deeper dive into the content down below:

New gameplay features include an improved progression system that’s based around your in-game ranking, different tiered rarity of weapons, and even the ability to escape from levels via helicopter if you’re getting overwhelmed, with bonuses available for those who do survive. It’s neat stuff and will certainly refresh the experience in time for next-gen consoles.

Speaking of next-gen, it has been announced that the mode will be playable both cross-platform and cross-gen, so you can play with friends who haven’t upgraded to the newer consoles yet. It’s something I’m particularly pleased to see, especially since I know a bunch of my friends haven’t been able to get their new console pre-orders in yet… at least we’ll still be able to kill zombies together.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on November 13th 2020 – it’s also coming to the PlayStation 5 in the UK in time for launch on November 19th 2020. Find out more on the official website through this link.
