PowerWash Simulator 2’s latest expansion has hit, and believe me, this one’s pretty special – we’re jetting off to a galaxy far, far away with the Star Wars DLC. However, rather than just dropping a standard human cleaner into a sci-fi setting, you take on the role of a P0-W2 cleaning droid, adding a brilliant little twist to the experience that sets the perfect tone for a thoroughly relaxing trip through six iconic locations in the Star Wars universe. Whether you’re a Jedi, Sith, or someone who simply enjoys power washing, you need to play this.

If you’re a massive fan of the franchise, you’ll be grinning from ear to ear the whole way through this DLC expansion. The attention to detail is brilliant, packed with subtle nods to the Star Wars universe that show that a wealth of love and attention has gone into making each cleaning job feel authentic. Even your trusty equipment gets a wonderful Star Wars makeover – something you’ll notice immediately when your washer blasts away grime with classic blaster sound effects (it’s something I never got bored of). Throughout the jobs, you’ll also receive fun text messages from legendary characters from the movies, giving the whole experience that extra element of personality that makes it all the more special.

The line-up of jobs in this pack is absolutely stellar, giving you the chance to scrub down some of the most iconic sights in the galaxy. The Lars Homestead on Tatooine, Mos Eisley Cantina, an X-Wing, an AT-AT on the snowy plains of Hoth, the imposing bridge of a Super Star Destroyer, and the absolute dream job… a painstakingly detailed Millennium Falcon. It’s a Star Wars fan’s dream.

Visually, the expansion looks spectacular and captures the vibe of the Star Wars universe perfectly. Whether blasting the grime from the Lars family moisture farm on Tatooine, ensuring that the bridge of a Super Star Destroyer is dazzling, or hanging off the colossal underside of a towering AT-AT to wash away that last speck of dirt, everything looks wonderful. The backgrounds feel remarkably alive too, with Imperial fleets cruising past the windows and rebel ships flying in the distance while you work. It makes it easy to feel like you’re part of the world, and with plenty of other little surprises and easter eggs to be found, it’ll be clear that this really is one of the best expansions seen across both PowerWash Simulator titles.

It’ll take around four hours to finish, but if I’m being honest, I can see myself revisiting this content time and time again – I’ve already roped in a pal for some co-op cleaning action tonight, purely because I want him to experience the magic of cleaning the world of Star Wars with me. And sure, I’ll admit, the Star Wars nerd inside of me is undoubtedly biased towards this, but with the team at FuturLab doing such a good job of bringing Star Wars to PowerWash Simulator 2, it’s hard not to be blown away by everything on offer.
